Material Input

The material input of PET bottles is made in bales onto a loading conveyor. Only the binding wires have to be loosened and removed.

The bales disband themselves due to the elasticity of the bottles into loose groups. With regard to the following washing plant ML 1400 it doesn’t matter if single bottles are wedged into each other.

PET Recycling

The facility is construed for the editing of PET bottles which are pre-sorted according to colours.

The edited flakes can be processed either into pellets (extruder + crystalliser) or – by means of chemical recycling they can be used for the recovery of Terephtal acid and Aethyl-englycol.

Crushing and Washing

The washing plant ML 1400 is loaded by an elevating conveyor. The ML 1400 crushes the material and cleans it by the mutual friction of the flakes. Paper and impurities are lead away by the washing water.

The flakes are emptied into the discharge funnel of ML 1400.

From there the swim/sink trough is charged by a dewatered cleaning screw.

The dewatering serves to keep the water circulation of the centrifuge and the trough clean.

Separation of Flakes According to PE/PP

In order to separate the flakes according to PE/PP (labels and caps) a swim/sink trough is provided; for smaller production (4 – 500 kg/h) the trough at the left, for productions up to 1 t/h the larger one (10 m).

For the closed cycle of the washing water of ML100 and the trough you need a simplified system of water treatment.

Subsequent Cleaning and Drying

The sunk flakes are lead to a turbo washer and a friction centrifuge by means of a dewatered screw, where they are cleaned and dried again.

From the centrifuge the dried flakes are pneumatically conveyed to the mixing silo. From the mixing silo the flakes are bagged for dispatch.
