Thermal Separation

Evaporation plant for dairies
It is the task of the plant to concentrate 45,000 m3/h of low-fat milk respectively whey from 9 % to 50 % powdered material. In order to spare the milk this process is not executed at an atmospheric pressure (like e.g. in a pot on the cooker) but at negative pressure (vacuum) in the apparatuses, so that the working temperature never lies over 68° C.

The apparatuses produced in the factory in a horizontal position are vertically erected at the installation site.

Thereby, the upper part of t he apparatuses juts out of roof into the air by about 14 m, the lower part with many system parts stands in the production hall.

Mounting On-site

In the base part milk and water vapour are separated; the later is sucked and compressed by a large ventilator with a motor of about 650 kW.

After the compression the vapour condenses at the outside surface of the heating pipes and thus delivers the heat for the vaporisation of the water from the product film to the inner side of the pipes.

In the two small downstream paces of the evaporator the intermediate concentration of 38 % powdered material is concentrated to 50 % powdered material.

The concentrate immediately proceeds to the spray dryer tower where the remaining water is driven out of the concentrate by means of hot-air and powdered milk arises.

The most essential data of the apparatuses are:

Pace 1:

Total length pace1: ca. 27 m high
Overall weight: ca. 74 t
Maximum diameter: 4.9 m / 3.2 m + 100 mm

Isolation
6 procedures
Installed pipes: about 1,200 pieces
Length of the pipes: about 22,000 m

Extraction Plant

Pace 2:
Total length: ca. 27 m high
Overall weight: ca. 25 t
Maximum diameter: 2.3 m / 1.3 m + 100 mm

Isolation
3 procedures
Installed pipes: 235 pieces
Length of the pipes: 5,170 m

Pace 3:
Total length: ca. 27 m high
Overall weight: ca. 20 t
Maximum diameter: 1.6 m + 100 mm

Isolation
4 procedures
Installed pipes: 339 pieces
Length of pipes: 7,458 m

Distillation for Hard Liquor Extraction Plant
  Water Distillation for WFI-water Production

Due to the very large heating surface of about 4,800 m2 the demand of energy of the plant is extremely low. The drive motor of the ventilator at the evaporator needs only about 450 kW and the two high concentrators need only 2.2 t/h of vapour.

The parts of the plant are largely encased by a heat insulation so that practically no loss of heat arises.
